A. Kim's promise to increase Korea's nuclear arsenal

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has promised to increase the country's nuclear arsenal at a ‘swift’ boost, which he has ‘unfavorable’ forces. The official Korean Central News Agency reported on Tuesday that it was a measure of protection.

Kim said its disinterested state is facing a serious threat due to the reckless expansion of the U.S.-led regional military group, which is now becoming a nuclear threat.

In a speech given on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the government the previous day Kim said this development is in North Korea its military Pushing the capacity to increase.

He promised that the Asian country would double the steps and efforts to prepare nuclear forces, including the military, to complete the war.

Kim's statement came in line when Pyongyang released a new platform for perhaps a more powerful intercontinental ballistic missile launch, which has resumed trashing balloon-carrying balloon launches to South Korea in recent days.

threat of attack
The North Korea protested against the signing of the US-South Korea Defense Guidelines in July, aimed at merging US nuclear weapons and South Korea's conventional weapons to counter North Korea's nuclear threat.

North Korea said it had revealed plans to attack its opponents, which the US and South Korean officials have repeatedly said that they do not wish to attack the country, while North Korea has significantly accelerated its weapons testing operations since 2022. It also claims it has the ability to carry out attacks against the United States and South Korea.

According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, North Korea currently has about 50 nuclear weapons, although exact numbers are unknown. North Korea is under international sanctions for its nuclear weapons and missile programs, and its latest nuclear test was conducted in 2017. The US and South Korea have increased military exercises, which North Korea has called an attack exercise.
