243 kg tuna fish sold for 32 lakh dollars

A traditional and prestigious auction is held every year in the main fish market of Tokyo, the capital of Japan, an entrepreneur bought a huge tuna fish for $3.2 million this year.

Kithoshi Kimura, the owner of Japan's self-proclaimed ‘Tuna Maharaj’ and chain restaurant Sushi Janmait, bought the huge tuna fish weighing 243 kg (536 pounds).

The fish is caught in fishermen's nets on the coast of the northern part of the Oma region of Japan, which is best known for its best tuna production in Japan.

Oma Gath is sold for $13,360 per kg of improved varieties of tuna.
