Russia and Ukraine exchange hundreds of prisoners of war
Russia and Ukraine have exchanged hundreds of prisoners of war. The prisoner exchange took place under the mediation of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Russian and Ukrainian officials confirmed the matter on Monday. The Russian Defense Ministry said that 150 Ukrainian soldiers held by the country had been handed over in exchange for an equal number of Russian soldiers. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that 189 Ukrainian soldiers had returned home.
