Ruhin Hossain Prince, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB), has been appointed as the new coordinator of the Central Steering Committee of the Left Democratic Alliance. BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed said, there is no reason for the national election to be held after December. There is no reform that cannot be done within a month. সাবেক প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার ছেলে সজীব ওয়াজেদ জয় বলেছেন, ‘ছাত্র আন্দোলনকে জামায়াত-শিবির নিয়ন্ত্রণ করেছে। এমনকি তারা নিজেরাও এটা স্বীকার করেছে।’ বুধবার (১৬ অক্টোবর) রাতে নিজের ভেরিফায়েড ফেসবুক পেজে দেওয়া এক পোস্টে এসব কথা বলেন তিনি। ওই পোস্টে তিনি বলেন, ‘আমরা অনলাইনে দেখেছি কীভাবে ছাত্রদের আন্দোলনকে জামাত-শিবির নিয়ন্ত্রণ করেছে, এমনকি তারা নিজেরাও স্বীকার করেছে। বঙ্গবন্ধুর স্মৃতিচিহ্ন মুছে ফেলতে তাদের কর্মকাণ্ডও আপনারা দেখেছেন।’তিনি আরো বলেন, ‘এখন তারা প্রকাশ্যে আামদের মুক্তির সংগ্রামে, আমাদের মুক্তিযুদ্ধে বঙ্গবন্ধুর অবদানকে অস্বীকার করছে। নিজেদের রাজাকার হিসেবে নিজেরাই আবার জাতির সামনে পরিচয় করিয়ে দিচ্ছে।’
