The ban will continue from midnight on Saturday (October 12) to November 3. During this period, transportation, buying, selling, storing and exchanging hilsa will be banned nationwide. At the same time, a campaign to preserve mother hilsa will be implemented. According to relevant sources, fishermen will not be able to enter the river during the ban in the 100-kilometer area from Shatanal of the Meghna River to Char Alexander via Raipur in Laxmipur.
